Nelson Mirthil
Nelson Mirthil is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He started his career in the Audit Department of De Chazal Du Mée (now BDO & Co.) and later joined Ernst & Young, where he was promoted to Audit Manager. He gained extensive financial experience, having been involved in mergers, acquisitions, and special assignments across Africa. He has also served as the Fund Manager of The Mauritius Development Investment Trust (MDIT), a listed investment company.
He joined Omnicane in 2003 as Chief Finance Officer and currently serves as a board member for several companies, including Omnicane Milling Operations Limited, Omnicane Thermal Energy Operations (La Baraque) Limited, Omnicane Bio-Ethanol Operations Limited, Airport Hotel Ltd, and the Sugar Insurance Pension Fund.
